If you like coleslaw, you will love this one! If you have never found a coleslaw recipe you’ve liked, you may want to give this tasty and healthy version a try. A fantastic blend of spicy and sweet. I always say that “sriracha sauce is magic” – and my point is proven here. Enjoy!

Spicy Asian Coleslaw

Spicy Asian Coleslaw

Use your imagination - add any fresh veggies that you can think of to add to this fresh, crisp mix.


  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of 3 small or 2 large lemons
  • 1-2 Tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped pickled ginger (and about a tsp. of the juice from the jar)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 cup grapeseed oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 Tablespoon flax seed oil (optional)
  • 6 garlic cloves finely minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 Tablespoons local honey (to taste)
  • Coleslaw Salad
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 3 carrots
  • 1-3 broccoli stalks, trimmed (optional)
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas (optional)
  • 1 jicama (optional)
  • 2 small or 1 medium red onion


  1. Emulsify ingredients in medium bowl with hand blender and add to coleslaw salad mixture, then use the remaining dressing in salads, on rice, or quinoa.
  2. Salad
  3. Shred vegetables by hand or in food processor, then dress modestly with Spicy Asian Slaw Dressing. Enjoy!
