Social Media, Comments and Anti Spam Policy

We hate Spam.

When you are on our e-mail list, we just want to use your e-mail address to share information we come across. As we build our database and network, it is our desire to provide you with better and better information all the time.

Deals: We carefully select affiliate programs and they send us discounts on a regular basis. Because we like knowing about them so much, we want to do for you as we would like  you to do for us, which is pass it on.

Tips: As we share tips online and with friends, colleagues, and generally anyone we come into contact with, we find that the information we have to offer can be helpful. The feedback we receive is what we base our decisions on as we assemble e-mails. It is our sincere desire to send you information that is useful as you establish healthier lifestyle habits.

Your feedback is appreciated.

Social Media

We are very active in social media, and love to talk to and hear from people all over the world about health, nutrition, fitness, motivation, and other wellness-related topics. We approach social media with an “attitude of abundance.” If we can help you, it helps us somehow. Even if it didn’t, it won’t hurt us, so we’re usually game to help someone out whenever we can, if it makes sense.

We love people, and follow back. Generally speaking, with very few exceptions, if you “follow” us or send a friend request on one of the Transfer of Health pages or profiles, we “follow back” or accept the request.

We don’t just talk, we listen. Because we use social media to keep our finger on the pulse of what is relevant today, we typically only “follow” or are “friends with” or in groups with people who “follow back,” or want to be friends. We are not looking for one-sided communication, although are not offended by it. What we seek is two-way, what we find varies, and we are cool with that. We hope you are, too.

Keep it clean. We try too keep “clean” friends. Sometimes on Twitter one can get “duped” into following some pretty sketchy stuff, but our general policy is to connect with people who do not use curse words in their profile, are fully dressed in the profile picture, and try to use good judgement from there. You’ve been out there – this is a slippery slope, but we care about people #1, and do our best beyond that.

Comments

Be nice. We don’t expect, or even hope you’ll agree with everything we say. We do expect ourselves, and visitors to Transfer of Health, to be nice. Most people are respectful, but it’s good to bring it up. If a comment on Transfer of Health is deemed “mean spirited,” argumentative, or blatantly promotes other products or sites (other than a signature line that makes sense), it will be deleted as soon as possible once we discover it.

We read and comment. We love reading blog posts, status updates, and other media people all over the internet have to share. Keeping in mind the Golden Rule, we comment on posts when moved to do so.

Tiffany’s signature. Tiffany reads blogs and articles regularly, and she loves it when people post in response to what she has to say, so she tries to do the same as often as possible. She typically includes the signature, “Transfer of Health, Healthy Recipes and Wellness Tips.” Some view it is spam - we do not. Tiffany only posts after reading or viewing a specific post, and comments in direct response to the post.We encourage you to do the same here on Transfer of Health if your blog is similar to ours, or directly related to health, fitness, nutrition, healthy recipes, or other wellness topics.

We feel by adding the signature (whether you have a signature in response to our posts, or if Tiffany is responding to something she has read elsewhere), it helps the host blog as much or more as it helps Transfer of Health.

Hope you agree that this makes sense – we are excited to connect!
