This protein bar recipe is so very easy, and I’ll tell you what – these buggers disappear so fast! It’s a good thing they are easy to make. Each morning, we pack one (ok, or two) in our lunch. They make a great mid-morning or (yeah, and) afternoon snack.
This recipe has been a God sent. We love a good wild game recipe, and our freezer is full of unmarked roasts. I never know until I unwrap the lovely piece of meat whether I’ll need to slow cook the roast or if it is a lean piece of meat with no connective tissues (in which case, I would sear and bake until medium rare).
This curry pumpkin soup recipe also works with acorn squash and sweet potatoes. The curry and pumpkin (or squash) is such a great combination; the warmth of flavor (and temperature) is a welcome sensation on a cold, winter day. Especially here in Montana.

On was one of the busiest, most stressful days we’ve experienced in a very long time, I finally roasted 4 acorn and 2 large spaghetti squashes that my husband Duane was sure I was going to let go to rot. Sticking those squash in the oven and checking them periodically was pretty much all there was to it.

The past two weeks the “Arm Jiggle Blues” have been getting me down. Honestly, it’s more of a swing than a jiggle (do you know what I’m talking about?). A month and a half ago, I was so excited about launching my P90X workouts, but squeezing in those workouts has been more than a little challenging. Four days out of every week, we leave our house at 7:15 a.m. and get home between 9:00 and 10:30 p.m. Then there are MIranda’s basketball games, more work, and my own homework.
