Healthy Dessert: Raw Carob Balls

Raw “Chocolatey” Treat

Raw “Chocolatey” Treat

We double this recipe and keep these delicious balls on hand in the fridge to satisfy those chocolate and sugar cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked almonds (soak 2-4 hours)
  • 8 pitted dates
  • 2 tbsp raw tahini
  • 2-1/2 tbsp raw carob powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp raw, local honey

Instructions

  1. Throw everything into the food processor and process until well blended.
  2. Add water gradually if needed.
  3. Roll into little balls (about 1").
  4. We cut plastic wrap into squares about 3"x3", then individually wrap each yummy morsel, and keep them in the refrigerator.
